Ski Holidays in Val Thorens Ski Resort

At 2300m Val Thorens is not only the highest resort of the Trois Valleys, it is the highest resort in Europe, making it the most snow sure resort that you can go to.  Great for beginners as for intermediates, Val Thorens offers easy access to the Trois Valleys, making it a great base from which to enjoy the largest ski area in Europe.

Built high above the tree line on a sunny west facing slope and surrounded by snow capped peaks and glaciers, the scenery is seriously impressive.  Being purpose built, the village is well laid out and compact, with much of the accommodation being slope side.  Although modern, the village is still an attractive sight from the slope as great care has been taken to clad the front of the apartment buildings; many of which are only medium rise. The village centre has minimal traffic as the visitors car parks are on the outside of the village.

Although the resort cannot boast the boutiques found else where in the Trois valleys, there is a great choice for everyday shopping and ski equipment.  There are fantastic bars, restaurants and clubs for those who have the energy.

Popular with all levels of skier or boarder, Val Thorens easily caters for the beginner as for the advanced skier. Beginners can enjoy excellent ski schools and beginner slopes, then progress onto very easy blue runs.  For the intermediates, getting around the Trois Valleys is very easy , with blues and red taking you to Courchevel 1650 in 90 minutes.
